What this film is
A poignant and heartfelt comedy about aging from a woman's perspective. June Devers is a famous writer living in a very small town. One that is more than just an unsettling version of her own books. When her sisters come to visit after hearing about a life changing health issue, the women are forced to come to grips with years of strife and tragedy within the family. Issues which manifest themselves in ways much like one of June's own novels.
